Jess’ dental career began in mid-2008, when she was fortunate enough to be granted an opportunity with the #1 producing dental chain in Texas – with no dental experience. Prior to her management position, she was the General Manager for a well-known extended-stay hotel chain in the DFW area. Utilizing her 10+ years of experience in hotel/retail management allowed Jess to provide a fresh new outlook on team building and training in the dental community.

With her initial lack of dental knowledge, Jess had to work twice as hard as those around her to succeed. She worked night and day to gain as much knowledge as she possibly could, studying the Dentrix manual and utilizing every training material she could find. In less than a year, Jess was training others. It was then that she discovered her knack and love for training others while building long-lasting dental families.

In her career, she has successfully transitioned two dental offices into new ownership, with little to no turnover. Following the last acquisition in 2011, she chose to join an up-and-coming dental group in DFW, which for Jess meant taking on two very challenging roles as office manager and trainer. She helped create company training materials, as well as implemented them with on-site training for all onboarding office managers for one of the fastest-growing dental corporations in Texas.

Jess’ known strengths are her knack for hands-on training, team building, and her self-proclaimed “nerdy, number-loving side.” She loves to focus on overhead costs and make sure her clients are getting the absolute best quality for the price they deserve. In her opinion, dentistry is a passion that comes from within that cannot be taught or falsified, and her advice and expertise come from the same place.

Continuing education is very important to Jess. She is a member of AADOM, as well as SCN. In her spare time, she spends her weekends camping aka “glamping” with her loved ones. Her home on wheels is her happy place. Jess truly loves to help others smile, succeed, and show passion for their role in our dental community. After all – teamwork makes the dream work!
